College Library
The Library of S.D. College of Education, Barnala was established in 2004. It is a dynamic knowledge hub that actively supports teaching, learning, and research. Library collection includes books, periodicals,newspapers, CDs, E-books, E-journals databases etc.The collection is regularly updated with the latest editions of books, journals, and magazines to keep pace with evolving academic and professional requirements. Fully automated with International open-source software KOHA.The library ensures efficient cataloguing, circulation, and easy access to its resources.
Features of our College Library
- It has separate reading room and reference section with the seating capacity of 85 persons.
- Library is well stocked with about 8300 books of different subjects.
- It has 1219 reference books and more than 60encyclopaedias.
- Library also subscribes to 9Journals and 5Magazines besides 10 national and regional dailies in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
- More than 200M.Ed. dissertation are also there in the library.
- All the books are classified and catalogued.
- Cataloguing has been computerized.
- Xerox andPrinting facility is provided to the students and the staff.
- Book Bank facility is provided to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, economically backward and physically handicapped students for the whole academic session.
