NSS

The aim of the National Service Scheme (NSS) is to develop among the students a sense of participation in nation-building by providing a relative outlet to their energies. The students are advised to join NSS in large number so that they may contribute towards national reconstruction. It provides opportunities to the students to join valuable practical experience in community service through programmes such as Voluntary Health Service, Cleanliness of Surroundings, Eradication of Literacy among Youth Parliament, Swachh Bharat Programme, National Integration Campaign, National Development Projects, Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Green Bharat Clean Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Awareness against Stubble Burning, Fit India Movement and so on. Working under the motto “NOT ME, BUT YOU”, the Department of NSS of our college is running 6 units and registers 600 volunteers under the volunteer service of six Programme Officers. It introduces the students to the waves of change and makes them capable to encounter the bigger challenges in the outer world. To fulfil the purpose of these intensive services, seminars, workshops, one day camps, seven days’ camps are organized from time to time for an all-round development of the volunteers.
