Hindi Department

Established in 1956, the Department of Hindi is enriching the youth of this non-Hindi region by imparting the knowledge of Hindi language and literature at the undergraduate level. In this way, Department of Hindi is making continuous efforts to create a bond between rural youth of this area and Hindi language. The department aims at teaching a variety of Hindi literature and its relevance in the contemporary scenario along with the technicalities of Hindi Language. The faculty and students of the department constantly participate in all literary as well as co-curricular activities like Youth Festivals, Seminars, social activities and the like with full enthusiasm. The Department of Hindi celebrates ‘Hindi Diwas’ on 14thof September every year by organising interactive sessions of eminent personalities with students and organising various competitionsbased on Hindi language and literature. Hindi Sahitya Sabha has also been created in the department to ensure multifaceted development of the students.
