Such a personality is Dr. Aneesh Parkash. With his diligence, devotion and discipline, he has been able to scale the heights which others appreciatively look at.
In 1951, Dr. Aneesh Parkash was born to Dr. Raghubir Parkash who was paragon of perfection, purity and prudence. Dr. Raghubir Parkash was the first Physician and the first M.L.A. of Barnala as well as a passionate freedom fighter. Being a tireless volunteer to selflessly serve his community, he chose Barnala to be the arena of his service and he became the founder of S.D. College in 1956 with a vision to promote education in this rural area.
Dr. Aneesh Parkash imbibed the qualities of selfless service and compassion for the poor from his father. After obtaining his pre-medical degree from S.D. College, Barnala and M.B.B.S. degree from Ranchi University, despite having an opportunity to settle and practice in United States, he decided to stay in Barnala to carry on the great work of his father and serve the community.
Dr. Aneesh Parkash was at the helm of the institutions as President in 2005. Path of duty is the path of glory for him. Whatever the responsibilities may be, he shoulders all these enthusiastically. He possesses all qualities of leadership and is spreading the fragrance of his selfless service all around. Dr. Aneesh Parkash has been instrumental in expanding the infrastructure of S.D. College, Barnala and played a pivotal role in bringing S.D. College of D. Pharmacy, S.D. College of B. Pharmacy as well as S.D. College of Education and Dr. Raghubir Parkash S.D. Sen. Sec. School.
As a doctor, he did not confine himself only to his private practice as a Physician but he has been providing volunteer services to the humanity by participating in medical camps organized by Rotary Club and such other organizations from time to time. He stays above the noise and politics of the world and focuses on the selfless service to the humanity providing service not only to the sick but also to those stricken by poverty and ignorance.
Men like Dr. Aneesh Parkash are rare who mould the destiny of a region and possess unyielding tenacity of purpose and live life in a real sense.
